Dry stone walling is the traditional craft of building walls without mortar—just carefully selecting and fitting stones together so they interlock and hold through gravity, friction, and skillful placement. It’s been practiced for thousands of years in rural landscapes worldwide, from the British Isles to the Mediterranean and the Andes.
