CT. Thin Stone is a thinner cut of full bed stones specifically engineered for interior and exterior applications. The CT. Thin Stone line offers stones from the Connecticut and New England regions. On average is up to 5 times thinner than traditional veneer at ¾ – 1 ½ inches thick. Less weight results in lower shipping costs, easier installation and no footing requirements.

The Four Stone Cuts Explained

FOUR STONE CUTS / SHAPES

Ashlar Mosaic Rectangular & Square Ledge

Ashlar: Basically rectangular in shape and exhibiting the split face of the stone revealing striations that can be quite colorful.

Mosaic Pattern: Irregularly shaped quarry material exhibiting the seam face and/or the natural face of the stone.

Rectangular/Square: Produced on guillotines to approximate squares and rectangles and exhibiting the seam face and/or natural face.

Ledge Stone: Basically rectangular and exhibiting seam and split faces of the stone, ledge stone projects a more linear appearance.

BYRAM BLACK

Charcoal and black colors combine in this textured, coarse grained granite. Cut and pattern play an important factor in making this building stone suitable for both rustic and contemporary applications. This is the darkest thin stone we offer.

CT. OAK

A mix of cool and warm colors with minimal texture to the stone. Colors are grays, light gold, silver and rose.

DESERT CREEK

A blend of brown, grey, rust, silver, and beige granite. Split and weathered faces are combined to create a rich texture perfect for applications from traditional to modern.

HAMPTON

A soft blend of grey and beige tones is highlighted by an occasional golden hue. Used in both traditional and modern design, this coarse grained granite is frequently specified for both residential and commercial applications.

HARVEST CREAM

Cream colored stone with grains of brown, gold and black. The above photo is the ashlar cut grouted with Ardex Natural Bone grout.

LEXINGTON

A rustic, weathered fieldstone combining brown, grey and gold colors. Rich in color and texture the stone blend is a true New England look.

LIBERTY HILL

A fine grained granite featuring a combination of blue, grey and muted brown is highlighted with white quartz veins.

Cuts: Ledge, Ashlar, Sq & Rec and Mosaic.

MULTI COLORED ROUNDS

White, grey and rose colored stones combine playfully in these colorful water washed boulders.

Cuts: Round only

NANTUCKET ROUNDS

A round stone with a smooth texture. Colors are grays, beige, yellow and light tans. Excellent choice for a New England rustic look and also a finer detailed look with a tighter joint between the stones.

OLD REDDING ROUNDS

Naturally aged fieldstone boulders are a classic stone typically found on farmlands throughout New England. Colors range from brown to gray.

PONDEROSA VARIGATED

A medium to coarse grained split-faced stone with predominately gold and brown tones.
